What a year it's been here at The Best of the West. After spending a couple of years building the company into a formidable force, we can say that some challenges have been conquered while others have risen with even greater intensity. Since 2003, The Best of the West has bounced around several outdoor networks until landing on The Outdoor Channel this year and with 26 original episodes (the "Wolf" episode was replaced with a "highlight" reel). We landed with a pronounced "boom" and managed to earn 4 nominations for Golden Moose Awards.

As many of you full know, the website crashed. We first noticed problems when our forum was displaying MySQL errors, which basically means the "connection" to the database is having problems. Since we use Joomla the database is the core of this website. The very next day the entire website went down with an "unable to connect to database" error.
