just bought a savage 7 mag w/accustock. not broke in yet but likes 154 interbond sst to the tune of .75 in groups at 100 yds. my son has rem 700 in 7mm-08 and he's shooting groups you can cover with a quater and 200 yds. good guns for the on a budget types like us. it just takes a little experimentation to find the bullet combo each gun likes.

Look at the new savage long range hunter (they may not be avaliable quiet yet but should be soon). They come in 6.5-284, or 7mm. I don't think you can beat a savage for the price. I own 3 and every one shoots EXCELLENT! Most people that cus savage have never owned one. The new LRH should sale for around 700 to 750.

What about a 257 WBY in a rem 700 for deer and speed goats. It's a pretty mean little round. Cost ya for the ammo if u don't reload though.

..I had a 7mm Rem mag in a Sendero..older model before the big palm swell..very nice rifle and it shot very well.
I just bought a 264 Win..I hope it shoots aswell..if not the barrel will be gone and back to 7mm mag I go.
