I haven't shot the rifle, but I do own a buck mark target pistol with a 5.5" barrel. Top with a 4x scope you can kill squirrels at 50yds all day long. I read a review several years ago when the rifle first came to market and the grouping at 50yds was not that impressive. I think the rifle has an eighteen inch barrel and I remember that my pistol shot better than the rifle. Generally 22's can be finicky when it come to ammo. My pistol won't shoot Eley but it will tack drive Aguila ammo, which is cheap. Test it if you can with 5 brands of ammo before you buy it. Good Luck!
