I put a 20 moa Warne picatyne rail and Luepold mark 4 rings that were medium height on my Remington 700 7mm mag. My HO scope wouldnt fit, the scope bell hits the barrel. I had to move my back ring and scope farther forward than I like. I will probably have to do something different.

I got a Warne 1pc. rail for my Rem. 700 and sent it back. There didn't seem to be much meat left after they counter sunk the mounting screw holes. A decent 1pc. picatinny rail can be had from EGW for little $. I myself use Seekins Precision, but they are spendy. The Talley's seem to work good for those who like that style.

I have Badger rails on everything else and tried to save some money with the Warne. I should know buy now to stick with the old stand by. I will sh-t can the Warne and go back to Badger Ordinance. I dont care much for a 2 piece set up on my long range guns. I dont use aluminum on anything either. Scope rings shouldnt be the place to cut weight on a rifle. I like to mount my scopes on medium height steel Mark 4 rings. That gives me the best cheek weld and sight picture on my rigs. Just my .02

I use the Warne Bases and Low Warne QR rings on most of my mail hunting rifles..........I use the 3.5x10 Leupold with the Low Rings with no problem with the 40mm Obj. I even take another scope as Backup that is pre Zero using the QR Quick Release Rings on my hunnting trips.

I put a nightforce 20 MOA picatinny rail on my savage 12f 6.5x284. It's great.
But, I later discovered EGW and put their 20 MOA picatinny rail on my 700 sendero 7mm mag and mauser 270.
The EGW is a fraction of the cost and the quality/engineering is every bit as good from what I can discern.
I'm using leupold scopes and burris xtreme tactical rings. The scopes all interchange with minimal hassle and are easy to rezero. First shot is always on paper and the scopes track perfect. So, the second shot is zeroed.
