CJFloyd -

Cool! Would like to see that - going to post some pics?

Following from BlackTailSniper, my 7 RUM is tuned to the 'old' Berger 180s with my Huskemaw, but, I would like to get a new turret for the new and improved Berger Hybrid 180s, that have a higher BC than the original (Berger hasn't updated their website yet - so I can't quote the higher BC number - but you can hear about it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NphOCsxyx4). If you want .25 at 200 yards, would you want to use a higher BC bullet to achieve that? Or are you wanting lighter bullet / more speed?

Well I broke in the barrel with some core lokt 160 grain this week end once i got back on paper i was shooting about 3/4 inch groups at 182 yards. not bad for beeing rusty and adjusting my self to the new set up and trigger. I also got the 180 match beregers in so i am starting to load up some rounds. more reports to come.

Hey CJFloyd -

With that Bansner rifle, did you get the Jewell trigger? What lb is it set at?

Also, did you just customize the "BANSNER'S "ULTIMATE ONE" Sporter Rifle" or just have them build from the action?

After talking with Mark Bansner for a while I sent him my factory rem 700 and a blank barrel from Hart. O and a bell and carsoln stock and told him to do what ever he needed to make the thing shoot. The barrel was 32" and a 1 inch straight taper. Mark did not put a new trigger in just reworked the stock one, not sure on the lbs but its lite and sweet, best feeling trigger I have ever felt. He also did alot of extra work on the stock its the meadelist full lenght block but he cut a bunch out and rebeaded it. Mark did all the basic action work with the bansners touch. Mark was laughing at the barrel when he got it because it is so heavy. I am not sure the total weight with every thing put together but just the gun weighs 12.7 lbs LOL one good thing it does not beat you up to bad when you shoot. I am busy busy with fishing now but the 20 shots I have down the tube I am very pleased. I will try and get some pics up soon hopefully with 200 yard 5 shot clover leaf group targets

Sweet! That does look like a heavy barrel - decided not to get it fluted? Is that a B&C bench-rest stock (flat on the bottom)?

Yeah - with a rifle that heavy, shooting Berger 180s will feel like you're shooting a .223. Let us know what MOA you get out of it with your hunting bullets!

Yea no flute I was not trying to build a light riffel at all plus I was on a tight budget. Yes that is a B&C Medelist flat forend. I will post up some 180 groups as soon as I get some loade up and dialed in.
